MATTHEW TRUJILLO UNVEILS AGE OF COMICS’ NEW EVENT – NEW MEXICO COMIC EXPO IN AUGUST

Albuquerque, NM – January 18th, 2019 – Matthew Trujillo, owner of Age of Comics, today announced the debut of New Mexico Comic Expo (NMCE), a new comic and pop culture expo in Albuquerque, New Mexico. NMCE is bringing fans together in the worlds of comic books, entertainment, and cosplay. NMCE will take place on August 16th-18th at The Albuquerque Convention Center downtown.
NMCE will launch with guests including:
Seth Gilliam (Gabriel – The Walking Dead, Sugar Watkins – Starship Troopers)
Khary Payton (Ezekiel – The Walking Dead, Teen Titans Go!)
Kevin Eastman (Co-creator – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
Roy Thomas (Comic book writer & editor; Stan Lee’s 1st successor – Editor-in-Chief, Marvel Comics)

A-List Celebrities are scheduled to be in attendance and will be announced at a later date.
The official launch party will be at the Hyatt Regency’s Whyte Room downtown on Friday, August 16th. There will also be a charity art auction on Sunday, August 18th benefiting Safehouse New Mexico.
Trujillo is ready to bring this well-needed event to the state of New Mexico. “My team and I are really excited to start New Mexico Comic Expo and bring something different and unique to the fans this August,” shared Trujillo. “I believe the time is now for the fans to experience a convention like this, with a focus on celebrities, artists, and the cosplay community.”
NMCE will bring the surrounding area of comics, cosplay, and general fans together at the Albuquerque Convention Center for three days of unmatched fun, special guests, and entertainment. The Trujillo family and staff invite you to be a part of this special event.

ABOUT NEW MEXICO COMIC EXPO
New Mexico Comic Expo is the brainchild of Matthew Trujillo, Co-Owner of Age of Comics. Matthew, with his two brothers, opened Age of Comics June of 2013.
